What the labels mean
- Received a Father the Coptic Church receives.
- Not accepted condemned by a council the Church holds, so read with care.
- Western and Protestant writers outside the Coptic tradition.
- Falsely attributed a work wrongly credited to a Father.
- Cross-reference a Bible book, council or hymn used only for reference.
- Label pending still being decided by Fr. Andrew.
All labels are being reviewed by Fr. Andrew. Some passages are quoted in a later writer (for example Aquinas); the note beside the author says so.
