Veneration of the Holy Relic of Saint Anastasia — October 10
(opens in a new tab)Tap the photo to see it full sizeThe church was blessed in joy with receiving the relic of Saint Anastasia who showed courage at a young age and chose Christ and received the crown of martyrdom.
I’m proud of all the parents who brought their children to take a part of this Blessed unique celebration and proud of all the deacons and young deacons.
May her prayers be with all of us.

Cookies for a Cause + Nefertiti’s Brew — October 4
(opens in a new tab)Tap the photo to see it full sizeSunday, October 4th, after Liturgy, was a special day. It was the start of our fundraising project to replace the windows in our children’s Sunday School classrooms.
Christina offered fresh, made-from-scratch chocolate chip cookies by the dozen, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the new windows. The cookies were made with approximately 90% organic ingredients, including organic unbleached flour, brown and cane sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla, along with chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
Our fundraising exceeded the goal. Thank you to everyone who ordered.
Marielle and Marty also brought Nefertiti’s Brew back to the Fellowship Room after church. Everyone enjoyed coffee and seasonal fall specials, including Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Apple Crisp, and other treats, along with the fellowship.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped us support a wonderful project for our children.
May God fill your heart with Joy and Gladness.

The First Egyptian Festival in Connecticut — September 2012
(opens in a new tab)Tap the photo to see it full sizeIn September 2012, by God's grace, Saint Peter & Saint Andrew Coptic Orthodox Church had the privilege of holding the first Egyptian Festival in Connecticut.
It was our way of introducing the church to our neighbors in the Glenbrook community of Stamford. Our guests admired the Egyptian culture, asked about the Coptic Church, and enjoyed authentic Egyptian food and dessert.
We were a small community, yet everyone came together and offered their time and effort, so that we might witness for Christ in Stamford.
We thank God for everyone who came, served, and shared in the joy of this day.
May God fill your heart with Joy and Gladness.

Very Reverend Father Harry Pappas opened the door for us to worship. His kindness was the seed and the start of Saint Peter & Saint Andrew Coptic Orthodox Church in Stamford.
