The answer
He asks of us that we receive Him and come to know Him. St. Clement of Alexandria says, “Receive Christ, receive sight, receive your light, ‘In order that you may know well both God and man’ (Iliad 5.128). ‘Sweet is the Word that gives us light, precious above gold and gems; it is to be desired above honey and the honey-comb’ (Ps. 19:10).”332 “For each [name of God] by itself does not express God; but all together are indicative of the power of the Omnipotent … It remains that we understand, then, the Unknown, by divine grace, and by the word alone that proceeds from Him.”333
The Ninth Article: “Yes, we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son, is worshipped and
glorified, who spoke by the prophets.”
Third: God the Holy Spirit
