How can someone reach the level of hating sin (Ps. 119:163)?

St. Basil the Great answers, “If therefore one is assured how many and how great are the evils of which sins are the cause, then spontaneously and without any encouragement, and from inner disposition a hatred arises in him against them.”¹⁴⁵¹
