The question

God says that piercings defile the body. What about girls whose parents take them to get their ears pierced while the little ones have no choice in it?

The answer

Ear piercing is not really alright. It has been an Egyptian custom from the time of the Pharaohs and no one has really taken the initiative to advocate against it. The verse in the Holy Bible mentions piercing your body to mourn the dead which is not the case in ear piercing.
