The answer
You should differentiate between the "Father" as a hypostasis and the "everlasting father" as a title to the Son. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the everlasting father, or the father of eternity; one with the Father who is from everlasting to everlasting. "I and My Father are one" (John 10:30); "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). The Septuagint reads "father of the world to come", the kingdom which shall have 'no end'. He is the father of the great work of redemption that is the true proof of His love as the everlasting father.Answered by His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef (opens in a new tab)
