The answer
Be assured that God hears our prayers but He does not respond on demand. Following God's will be evinced in a sincere desire to spend time with Him, talking to Him, and talking about Him. You delight in His wisdom gleaned in your reading and study of the Holy Scripture. You look forward to attending church and receiving Holy Communion. Your heart aches when you disappoint Him, whether by thoughts, words, or deeds. You repent and confess your sins and struggle with all your might when sin attempts to ensnare you. Help from God is at your doorstep. It only takes trust. God's time differs from man's watch and calendar. Loving God with all your mind, heart, and soul is how to follow His will and how to be directed in the right path.Answered by His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef (opens in a new tab)
