The answer
God created angels with a complete free will but without a plan for salvation. The fall occurred once, and this was the division between heaven and hell. After the Lord's Second Coming, we will be a new creation, without the temptation of sin. Our relationship with God is parental, which is different than His relationship with angels. "For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor" (Psalm 8:5). Angels were created for a purpose, to minister to God, and in this ministry, He sent them with special messages to us. "Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire" (Psalm 104:4). Thus, when some of these angels geared toward pride and sin, their fall was swift, and according to their own will without return.Answered by His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef (opens in a new tab)
