Who is Sarkis that is mentioned in the last verse of Aripsalin? Is it necessary to include this verse in the hymn?

The answer

Sarkis is the Author of the hymn. I believe that the verse should be included in the hymn as a sign of loyalty to the author who wanted to be remembered in every midnight praises.
