The question

When in the process of making some decisions, we are encountered with obstacles, is it legitimate to think that those obstacles are from God as a sign of displease with us? Or should we think of them as being resistance from the devil and therefore press on with what we are doing?

The answer

Prayer is our way of communication with God. In any problem we face we have to ask God for guidance and submit to His will. At the end of the Agpeya book, there is a prayer for asking the will of God before starting an endeavor. Relate the problem to the Lord and ask Him to manage the matter according to His will as it pleases His Goodness. Also the guidance of the spiritual father will clarify any confusion.
