The question

Was the Holy Mother of God born with the original sin or not? I know the Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox churches believe in the purity of Our Holy Mother St. Mary and that she didn't have Adam's sin as the rest of us.

The answer

I am not sure from where you got your information regarding the Ethiopian and the Eritrean Churches’ view of St. Mary. All the Oriental churches have the same faith and dogma and all of them and the Eastern Orthodox churches as well, believe that St. Mary was born with the sin of Adam otherwise why would she say "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior" (Luke 1:46,47). If she was born without the original sin why would she need a Savior?
