The answer
The angel of God assured St. Paul that he would be saved with all the men on board from the stormy sea because he would have to be brought before Caesar i.e. go to Rome. This was fulfilled later when St. Paul went to Rome (Acts 28:16). He actually appealed to Caesar when the Jews wanted to put him to death "But when the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything of which to accuse my nation" (Acts 28:19).Answered by His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef (opens in a new tab)
