What is the meaning of the Cape and Crown in marriage?

The answer

In the marriage ceremony, both the Bride and Groom wear a crown. This symbolises responsibility, and that they will face spiritual struggles in their marriage, such as the struggle to bring their children up in the Lord. But through the grace of God they will be victorious, and therefore they wear the crown of victory. The reason why the groom wears the cape is because, from this point on, he will be considered the “priest” of the home. He must make sure his home is like a church with prayers, hymns, holy pictures, holy atmosphere, and so on.
